i was having a conversation
i was having a conversation with a friend last night on the phone. while we were chatting i heard a winding, cranking sound. at first i thought, oh no. it can't be. don't tell me it's a ..... yes it was, a wind up clock with those big ringer bells on the top. i was not really suprised that he owned an alarm clock like that and that's a story for another day kiddies.
i of course had to ask why he had the wind up clock and not a plug in, electrical electronic wonder for all humanity to marvel over. you know, the type where you put in the 9 volt back up battery in case of power failure? yes, you all know where i am going with this. guess who's power went out overnight and all his clocks and electronic devices were flashing 12:00 over and over? i realized this when i awoke at 7:30 am this morning in a panic. i missed meeting my vanpool by a half hour and had to work from home today.
yes, i forgot to put in the backup battery when i bought the alarm clock. there is one in there now though. i have to raise my hand up and ask a question. most nights i suffer from insomia and i do not sleep a full night. why did i sleep last night and the alarm not work? something to think about.
